Discover the raw beauty of Northern Vietnam on a loop through Ha Giang Province, one of the country’s most untouched regions. Travel from Hanoi to Ha Giang City, ride across legendary mountain passes such as Bac Sum Slope and Ma Pi Leng Pass, explore the Dong Van Karst Plateau, cruise along the Nho Que River, visit remote ethnic minority villages, and witness the natural wonders of Nguom Ngao Cave and Ban Gioc Waterfall. The journey concludes with scenic countryside views before returning to Hanoi.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 0 – Hanoi to Ha Giang City

Pick-up from Hanoi’s Old Quarter between 7:30–8:00 pm.
Transfer by bus to Ha Giang City.

Upon arrival, check in to a local homestay (shared room) and rest for the night, preparing for the adventure ahead.

Day 1 – Ha Giang City – Heaven Gate – H’mong King Palace – Dong Van

After breakfast, begin the journey by motorbike with your Easy Rider driver. A safety briefing is provided before heading into the mountains of Ha Giang.

Stop at Bac Sum Slope for panoramic views before riding through the spectacular Dong Van Karst Geopark, a UNESCO-recognized geological heritage site. Along the way, admire terraced rice fields, limestone formations, deep valleys, and daily life in remote villages.

Visit the famous Quan Ba Heaven Gate and Twin Mountains, two iconic viewpoints of the region.

Lunch is served in Yen Minh Town, followed by a ride to Dong Van with stops at Tham Ma Slope and the historic H’mong King Palace, the former residence of the Vuong family.

Arrive in Dong Van, check in to a local homestay, and enjoy dinner.

Day 2 – Dong Van – Ma Pi Leng Pass – Nho Que River – Bao Lac

After breakfast, ride along the legendary Ma Pi Leng Pass, often called the “King of Vietnam’s Passes.” This dramatic road offers jaw-dropping views of steep cliffs and deep valleys.

Descend to the Sky Path for incredible viewpoints overlooking the turquoise Nho Que River. Visit remote villages and pass through the towns of Lung Ho, Mau Due, and Meo Vac, home to diverse ethnic minority communities.

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before continuing to Bao Lac Town, known for its scenic beauty and cultural diversity.

Day 3 – Bao Lac – Me Pia Slope – Phia Thap Village

After breakfast, ride toward Phia Thap Village, a charming cultural destination surrounded by forests and limestone mountains.

Stop at Me Pia Slope, a spectacular mountain road famous for its sharp curves and panoramic views—an excellent photography location.

Travel through lush landscapes, limestone caves, waterfalls, and traditional villages. The route offers cooler mountain air and unforgettable scenery.

Arrive at a local homestay in Phia Thap after a full day of riding.

Day 4 – Nguom Ngao Cave – Ban Gioc Waterfall – Ban Gioc

Depart early for Nguom Ngao Cave, one of the most impressive caves in Northern Vietnam, featuring vast chambers and striking rock formations.

Continue to the magnificent Ban Gioc Waterfall, the largest and most beautiful waterfall in Vietnam, located on the border between Vietnam and China. Surrounded by lush greenery and emerald waters, this natural wonder is a highlight of the tour.

Participate in a bamboo raft experience and explore nearby viewpoints before settling into Ban Gioc for the evening.

Day 5 – Ban Gioc – God’s Eye Mountain – Hanoi

After breakfast, visit God’s Eye Mountain (Thung Mountain), a unique geological formation symbolising the region’s connection to nature.

Begin the scenic drive back toward Cao Bang City, stopping at viewpoints along the way to capture final photos of Northern Vietnam’s landscapes.

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before boarding the bus back to Hanoi. Arrival in Hanoi marks the end of services.
