Meet your guide at Vy’s Market Restaurant & Cooking School (3 Nguyen Hoang Street, An Hoi Islet). Please arrive at least 10 minutes before the tour begins. After a brief introduction, your culinary journey in Hoi An starts.
Begin with a guided walk through Vy’s Market Restaurant, a first-of-its-kind interactive dining venue in Vietnam. Explore multiple food counters where you can see, smell, hear, taste, and touch different food preparation processes.
Sample dishes from over 10 food stations, including banh mi, dumplings, pickles, sweet treats, and other traditional specialities. Learn how rice paper is made from ground rice and water, dried on bamboo frames, and roasted into crispy rice crackers.
Witness the preparation of Cao Lau, Hoi An’s most famous noodle dish. Watch noodles being hand-rolled, cut with a long knife, and steamed over an open fire using traditional methods.
You’ll also have the opportunity to participate in food preparation, such as cutting noodles, making rice paper and wontons, and using traditional noodle machines.
Begin your hands-on cooking class and prepare four traditional Vietnamese street food dishes at the restaurant’s cooking counters. Under expert guidance, learn authentic techniques passed down through generations.
